Why Karia was Created

For decades, the novated leasing industry has operated with outdated infrastructure. Legacy systems, manual spreadsheets, and fragmented workflows have hindered operational efficiency and diminished the experience for drivers. High administrative overhead, inconsistent processes, and compliance risks have become standard challenges across the novated lease industry.

Karia was founded to change that.

The founding team, having previously managed a novated lease business, experienced these operational gaps firsthand. What began as a set of internal tools evolved into a broader realisation: the entire industry required a unified, purpose-built solution to modernise operations at scale. This vision led to the development of Karia—a comprehensive fintech platform built to transform the full novated lease lifecycle.

Faces Behind Karia

Karia’s leadership team combines extensive expertise in novated leasing with innovative fintech solutions, having successfully brought multiple tech products from concept to market. This is complemented by a founding team with strong backgrounds in product, design, and engineering, offering a unique perspective from industries ranging from energy to payments.

The board consists of seasoned professionals with experience in finance, accounting, and sales, who have scaled startups to billion-dollar valuations and advised high-growth Australian startups.

Backed by a highly experienced advisory team, Karia is well positioned to drive the next wave of fintech innovation.

What Karia Does

Karia consolidates key leasing functions, including sales and origination, fleet management, embedded banking, workflow automation, and compliance tracking, into a single, integrated system. Its infrastructure enables real-time financial management, allowing lease providers to oversee origination, approvals, expense reconciliation, and compliance reporting with precision and speed.

In an industry governed by complex tax legislation and employment frameworks, compliance is critical. Karia automates the processes needed to meet these standards, eliminating reliance on manual inputs and disconnected tools. By consolidating fragmented systems and workflows into a single, integrated platform, Karia simplifies regulatory management. Through embedded finance, real-time data flows, and user-centric design, Karia enables lease providers to streamline operations, reduce risk, and deliver a significantly improved experience for both administrators and drivers.

How Karia Is Growing

Karia’s growth is driven by a commitment to continuous customer feedback and adapting to industry shifts. The platform’s modular architecture enables it to scale effectively for both small providers and large enterprise organisations, ensuring flexibility as the needs of the novated leasing sector evolve.

Karia currently serves a diverse range of clients, ranging from SMEs managing 50+ active leases to ASX-listed entities overseeing more than 100,000 active leases. In addition, there are over 30 clients on the waiting list, ready to adopt Karia's product suite to efficiently manage their entire novated lease lifecycle.

A significant milestone in Karia’s growth was its strategic partnership with Kobble, a leader in embedded finance. This collaboration allows the integration of live bank feeds, automated expense management, and real-time financial reconciliation directly within the platform. As a result, lease providers can now manage all financial transactions and approvals within Karia, streamlining their financial oversight and improving operational control.

Karia’s Biggest Challenge

One of the biggest challenges in building Karia was transforming a traditional, fragmented industry into a cohesive, digital ecosystem. Achieving this while maintaining strict compliance standards, especially around tax requirements, required careful planning and development.

Karia’s product offers a solution that handles everything end to end, which has generated significant interest in the market. Lease providers no longer need to juggle multiple tools and systems to manage their operations. With Karia, the process is simplified and more efficient, reducing administrative burden and making operations easier to manage with just a few clicks.

What’s Coming Next

Soon, Karia is introducing digital cards for drivers, enabling them to access allocated budgets and make approved payments directly. This innovation reduces the need for manual reimbursements, enhances visibility of spend, and lightens the administrative load for finance teams.

Looking ahead, Karia aims to continue investing in technology, strategic partnerships, and product development. The mission is clear: to equip lease providers with the tools they need to operate confidently, efficiently, and transparently in a digital and regulated environment.
