Open and WeMoney partner for powerful and simple insurance

We’re excited to announce our partnership with WeMoney, one of Australia’s leading personal financial management platforms.

WeMoney members can now purchase car, home and contents insurance directly in-app through the Huddle widget, Open’s ready-to-go insurance solution that integrates easily into any digital experience. Huddle is Open’s neo-insurance brand.

Open and WeMoney – better together

“The WeMoney team and I are absolutely excited to partner with Open and Huddle to offer insurance options to our members and provide them a chance to save time and money on home, contents and car insurance,” says WeMoney Founder and CEO, Dan Jovevski.

With a vision to create a frictionless experience for its members to manage their money and optimise their finances, WeMoney’s existing offers include personal loans, car loans and home loans. It now includes insurance – an important aspect of personal financial management.

Both Open and WeMoney are driven by community and purpose, “These two values are at the core of what we do,” says Jason Wilby, Co-Founder at Open. “We’re so excited to be partnering with a well-loved brand that shares our vision on making a positive impact. In this case, bringing financial literacy and wellness through providing powerful and simple insurance.”

The Huddle widget – brilliant insurance for financial management platforms

Many consumers wanting to optimise their finances are faced with traditional insurance inefficiencies – including overpaying on premiums, confusing products and hidden fees. In contrast, Huddle offers a smarter, faster and simpler option.

“WeMoney is the first of our partners to implement the Huddle widget,” says Wilby. “It’s a great example of how insurance can be easily embedded into any app or website. Embedding insurance in this way gives money-conscious consumers more options to access insurance that works harder for them.”

Award-winning solutions

Open and WeMoney are both award-winning Australian FinTechs. At the annual FinTech Australia 2021 Finnies awards, Open was awarded Excellence in InsurTech and WeMoney the People’s Choice – Emerging FinTech of the Year.
