Entsia Celebrates 15 Years Driving Innovation in Commercial Insurance

Supporting insurers, MGAs and underwriting agencies to accelerate innovation through the Entsia Platform

Sydney, Australia, 5 March 2026 — Entsia this week celebrates 15 years of helping insurers, MGAs and underwriting agencies transform commercial insurance operations using its full-lifecycle insurance administration platform.

Founded in 2011 in Sydney, Australia, Entsia was created to challenge the slow, inflexible systems that defined commercial insurance at the time. While siloed legacy platforms were the norm, Entsia set out with a clear ambition: to make insurance faster, more flexible and more connected through modern, cloud‑based technology.

Reflecting on the milestone, Entsia CEO and founder Alistair McElligott said, “When we started Entsia, we believed that commercial insurance could be simpler, faster and far more adaptable than the systems insurers were working with. Fifteen years on, I’m incredibly proud of how far we’ve come, and even more proud of the partnerships behind that progress. Our customers have shaped this platform with us, challenging us to solve the hardest problems in insurance. This milestone belongs to them as much as it does to our team.”

Today, more than AU$2 billion of GWP (Gross Written Premium) flows annually through the Entsia platform.

The platform supports everything from single‑risk retail products to complex commercial packages and enables customers to manage the full insurance lifecycle, including product management, underwriting, policy administration, claims and credit control, within a single scalable system. It also seamlessly facilitates distribution through pre-built integrations to leading broker networks including Ebix Sunrise Exchange and Steadfast SCTP.

Over the past decade and a half, Entsia has played an active role in the evolution of technology in commercial insurance, enabling customers to launch new products quickly and connect seamlessly to broker and partner ecosystems through API‑first design.

Looking ahead, Entsia remains focused on the next phase of industry transformation. The company is continuing to invest in advanced analytics, self-service configuration, and applications of AI, to help insurers respond to evolving risks, regulatory change, and rising customer expectations.
