Southeast Asia's booming digital economy

On behalf of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, you are invited to join the event “Southeast Asia’s booming digital economy: Unlocking opportunities for Australian business” for a discussion exploring the growing opportunities for Australian businesses in Southeast Asia’s rapidly expanding digital economy.

With over 650 million people and a rapidly growing middle class, Southeast Asia is leading the global digital transformation. Urbanisation and widespread internet access is fuelling demand for new digital services. The region’s digital economy is forecast to reach AUD $1.5 trillion by 2030 and is continuing its strong growth trajectory.

This session will highlight priority sectors where Australian businesses can play a significant role, including fintech and digital financial services, e-commerce and logistics, and advanced data centre infrastructure. The discussion will also address the policy landscape, digital trade agreements, and regional efforts that facilitate cross-border commerce and collaboration.

Explore trade and investment opportunities and how Australian businesses can be part of Southeast Asia’s digital transformation.
