Shift expands leadership team to support businesses at every stage of growth

Sydney, Australia – Shift, a leading provider of credit and payment products to Australian businesses, today announced the appointment of Genevieve Walker to the newly created role of General Manager, Corporate Business Division.

The appointment reflects Shift's continued focus on helping brokers serve a diverse range of Australian businesses through service models aligned to customer needs.

Genevieve will oversee credit and customer experience for Shift's Corporate Business Division, helping shape the experience for larger and more established SMEs with increasingly sophisticated finance requirements. She joins Shift from Macquarie Group, where she spent more than 10 years in a range of senior lending and product leadership roles, most recently serving as Director, Product Management, Business Bank Lending.

"What sets Shift apart is its ability to combine a relationship focus with its data and credit modelling capability,” said Genevieve.

"I've followed Shift's growth with interest for some time, and what drew me here is the opportunity to help build a better way to serve corporate and established businesses.”

Genevieve will work closely with Andrew Wagg, who was recently promoted to Director, Broker Distribution, responsible for leading Shift's broker engagement.

The announcement follows the appointment of Natasha Brown as General Manager, Small Business Division earlier this year. In her role, Natasha leads Shift's digital-first small business offering.

Jamie Osborn, Chief Executive Officer of Shift, said the company's approach reflects the broader needs of Australian businesses and the brokers who serve them.

"The diversity of the businesses our brokers work with has grown significantly in recent years. That's why we're continuing to invest in the people, technology and expertise needed to deliver the right experience for businesses at every stage,” said Jamie.

"We welcome Genevieve to Shift and congratulate Andrew and Natasha on their expanded roles. Together, their expertise across broker distribution, customer experience and business lending will help ensure brokers and their clients are well positioned to focus on long-term growth."
